Wendy J. Thompson

IT Manager, Paralegal

Ms. Thompson is assigned to the family law practice area at Adelberg Rudow and concentrates in the preparation of all documents related to family law, including marital settlement agreements, pre-marital agreements, pleadings and discovery papers, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders and other related documents.

She has been involved in the legal profession for forty years, concentrating in the area of family law for the last thirty-two years. She has attended various seminars conducted by the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Inc., (MICPEL) including those on Marital Settlement Agreements, Retirement Assets and Divorce and Child Support Guidelines. She has extensive experience as a paralegal in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury litigation, real estate transactions, and corporate matters.

In addition to her duties as a paralegal, Ms. Thompson has served as the firm’s IT Manager since 2006. She is responsible for the daily operation of the computer network, purchasing hardware and software, interviewing various vendors and outside computer consultants. She also is responsible for preparing the firm’s annual technology budget and hardware inventory. She maintains the firm website and docket management program. Ms. Thompson and the firm Network Administrator conduct bi-weekly software training sessions for the firm attorneys and staff.

Ms. Thompson has been an active member of the Wisp Ski Patrol and the National Ski Patrol System for over thirty-seven years and is an Outdoor Emergency Care instructor and instructor trainer. She is an American Heart Association CPR Instructor and Training Center Faculty. She is also trained as a part of the civilian Medical Support Personnel Team for the Maryland State Police Aviation Division and is a Maryland State EMT-B.
